Capitol Hill Books Adds Four More Co-Owners

All of them are full-time employees

Greetings, readers!

Capitol Hill Books has added four more owners—Aaron Leis, Caroline Smith, Helene Golay, and Soumya Gowda. These four, fearless, full-time employees have worked diligently throughout the past several years and have served as an enormous boon to the bookstore’s success. Due, in no small part, to their efforts, the past two years have been the store’s best years on record, despite the challenges posed by the pandemic.

We thought about waiting for them to organize and demand a seat at the table before crushing them with the help of some Sopranos-style toughs, but in the end we realized we actually liked the idea of them being owners.  

We’re not really math people, but we believe that brings the total number of Capitol Hill Books owners up to eight.
